Product Description

Remote Laser Methane Leak Detector 150m High Sensitivity TDLAS Non-Contact Industrial Gas Monitoring Natural Gas Pipeline Inspection

Description:

Remote Laser Methane Leak Detector is an eye-safe laser-based natural gas detector (methane) that can quickly and efficiently detect leaks up to 150m away allowing remote detection of difficult to access places such as busy roadways, locked yards, underground piping, compressor stations, offshore platforms, plant/industrial inspections, gas processing plants, gas gathering, drilling sites, landfills, difficult terrains and more. The laser beam of the Remote laser methane leak detector is transmitted towards the target. Once reached, the beam is then reflected back to the detector for analysis. The results show on the display screen immediately.

Tunable Diode Laser Absorption Spectroscopy (TDLAS):
The core of this remote methane laser gas detector systems is often TDLAS (Tunable Diode Laser Absorption Spectroscopy). This remote laser methane leak detector emits a laser beam and measures how much of the laser light is absorbed by methane molecules in the air. When the infrared laser beam is transmitted from the launch port, some of the laser light is reflected back and converted to an electrical signal that carries the information needed to deduce the methane concentration.

The Remote laser methane leak detector is also appliable in the environmental industry. The remote detection allows users to satisfy increasing restrictions on air quality controls and increase success in reducing emissions from underground pipeline networks as well as above ground fugitive sources.

Application:
Natural Gas Pipeline Networks Inspection:
Commonly used to inspect natural gas pipelines for leaks.
Refinery and Petrochemical Plant Monitoring:
Used to detect leaks in processing plants and storage facilities.
Landfill Gas Monitoring:
Used to detect methane emissions from landfills.
Underground Storage Tank Monitoring:
Can be used to monitor leaks from underground storage tanks.
